New updates for events in West Wemyss

Hi Bloggers, it is Gemma Again!

West Wemyss had an 80's Night on the 19th October and here is are some pictures to let you see exactly what was going on - lots of 80’s drinks and music!!! 

 

 

As you can see they had their bright fluorescent colour clothes on with big hair and attitude. Everyone enjoyed teh evening and so you know there are more events like this one so check the  calendar of events for dates and times and move you’re booty down to the Walk Inn - everyone welcome!

Reading Group
Wemyss Walk Inn will be holding a reading group and would like everyone to come along and join in. From Action to Romance to adventure and Comedy anything you wish to read  come along and pop in to The Walk inn on Wednesday 6th November 2013 at 7.00pm.

Dominoes Nights
Did you know that Dominoes Nights run every Thursday from 8pm in the West Wemyss Walk Inn? Whether you are a dominoes newbie or an expert come and join this friendly group. Steak pie or drink of choice for winners! £1 doubles.  £1 singles.  Proceeds to Auld Wemyss Ways Heritage Center.

Looking for a day out not too far from home?
Then why not visit Auld Wemyss Ways Heritage Center (next to the West Wemyss Walk Inn). Information and artifacts about the history of the Wemyss Villages and you can enjoy a cake or snack in the Walk Inn cafe too!  If you have any artifacts or information please bring them along so we record and share your memories of the Wemyss with others. Suitable for all ages. 

Sausage Sizzle Family Night!

Come along to West Wemyss for a family BBQ and Socialize also sparklers will be given for fun. 6:30pm 5th of November.

It's going to be a fun and memorable night - everyone is invited!

 

Hi Bloggers it’s me Gemma...

This week I’m going to tell you a bit about what is going on in the Walk Inn and the village.  In case you did not know, the West Wemyss Walk Inn also holds events like Halloween Parties, Movie Nights, Arts&Crafts Fayre's, Fun Nights and lots more! I have just updated the events calendar page so have a wee look. The Walk Inn also hosts Tots to Teens events for the kids although everyone joins in to make them happen. The next bigger kids event is the Halloween party that is coming up on the 31st of October  6pm - 8pm and Tickets are £2.00 per Kid. They duck for apples also have fun games they play and then something very special at the end is a spooky walk where the adults dress up and hide all over the village and jump out when the children pass, The children love it and it makes the adults happy seeing that the kids are enjoying them self's.




The West Wemyss is Holding an Adults Halloween Party Fancy Dress Competition, Disco and Buffet. Tickets are £6.50 Available in the West Wemyss Walk Inn Starts at 7:30pm come along you'll have a SCREAM!:)

 
  



 Karen Purves

West Wemyss Walk Inn hold Amazing Art exhibitions Karen Purves helps out with this and puts lots of effort and time into getting everything just right and we have someone new every month and this month on the 30^th of October, Anna Geissler will be exhibiting throughout the Walk Inn (solo exhibition) .. Also a (solo exhibition) throughout November. December and January artists will be the lovely Karen Purves and two or three other artists which will be a mixed exhibition come along and enjoy a lovely colorful show.





Throughout the Christmas Season we have Christmas dinner's going on lovely hot warm delicious meals cooked by Chef Tomas.

The West Wemyss also hold a Dominoes Night every Thursday from 8pm steak pie and other prizes to be won! £1 entry for singles and £1 for doubles. All proceeds go to the Auld Wemyss Ways Heritage Center.

Let me introduce myself!

Hey bloggers my name is Gemma I'm 18 years old and I have just started working as an Events Administrator for the West Wemyss Community Trust and the Walk Inn. I am going to be writing on the blog about new and upcoming events and also new things that are going on in West Wemyss Village.

Here is a little update about my time being here. I only started 3 weeks ago this is my fourth week coming up and I am loving my job. The people in West Wemyss Village have made me welcome and I have discovered that even in the short amount of time I have been here a lot of exciting new things are happening - more later! Just thought I would say hello and introduce myself to everyone :)

Menu & Opening Hours...

It has been a busy summer for us and now that most of us are back from holidays we too here at the West Wemyss Walk Inn have started a new term and have a reviewed timetable. Our team has also been joined by Gemma and Mariha so you will be getting regular updates and information about our events from Gemma and Mariha's delicious baking is available in the café, so you can look forward to freshly baked cakes, scones and bread throughout the week! Our chef Tomasz now also does takeaways Friday to Sunday and you can pop in for a drink in our pub whilst waiting.

Never a dull moment...

....today we had a miniARTure workshop here at The Walk Inn. Taught by our lovely Lucia and organised by the Buckhaven Beehive, some very lovely little works of art were created and everyone left feeling very much like they had learned something new and created something lovely.

As the workshop came to a close, outside there was a bit of a commotion as a fabulous piece of art was being delivered to a building tucked away opposite The Walk Inn. 

An amazing portrait by a 3rd year student at Dundee school of art caused everyone who saw it to simply stop and look in awe. This young artist is going to go a very long way, and it really was wonderful to such a superb piece of work disappearing up some rickety old steps! Very much hope to see a lot more of this young ladies fabulous work.
